Goal Setting
We want to understand your money goals, and why they matter to you. This will help us be sure that the plan we design fits the life you imagine for yourself and your family. You may want to build wealth, eliminate debt, build your ideal retirement, fund children’s education, start or sell a business, or leave wealth to future generations. That thing that drives you, keeps you up at night, or excites you most – let’s talk about it.
Investment Strategy
We’ll create a personal investment policy statement focused on helping you reach your goals. Your IPS is a unique, living document that describes the investment growth needed to fund your dreams, the risks inherent in pursuing it, and how to balance the two.
Tax Planning
We'll help you maximize the use of tax-deferred (401k/IRA) or tax-exempt (Roth IRA) vehicles where possible. We'll consider asset location strategies that place less tax-efficient investments in tax-advantaged accounts. If appropriate we may recommend tax-loss harvesting or other strategies designed to mitigate the impact of taxes on investments. We'll also work with your accountant to prevent surprises.
Investment Management
We've researched hundreds of funds and ETFs and the marketplace is always changing. Professional management includes a fully allocated portfolio designed with your goals in mind. We can build you an institutional quality, globally-diversified portfolio with automated trading and rebalancing. Or we'd be happy to help you DIY, whichever you prefer.
Unique Situations
If it affects your finances, we’ll crunch the numbers and help you find an answer. How/when to exercise employee stock options, concentrated stock holdings, selecting a 529 plan, and more.
Reviews & Updates
Financial planning is never “done”. Like driving a car, we keep our hands on the wheel and make small adjustments over time. We’ll meet with you as often as needed to review your progress, and address any changes we need to incorporate into the plan. Can meet nationwide via Zoom or in person in the Dallas-Ft.
